Breeder shall provide AKC registration papers (limited registration) signed for transfer after this puppy has been spay or neutered. This contract is null and void if this puppy is not registered within 1 month of receiving registration papers. This German Shepherd:

1. The name BAHR-S shall preface any name put on the
application for registration.
2. This puppy has had a veterinarian check on
____________________and details are enclosed in health record. The said puppy’s entire body including eyes,
ears, mouth, nose, sensory and sex organs are healthy and functioning properly
as of this age.
First
puppy shot given____________. First
worming was given on _______________which makes the puppy ____weeks old. Second worming was given on
_______________. Third worming was given
on____________. Second shot was given on
_____________________. The breeder
(seller) administered the puppy shots and worming medicine. The gestation for Parvo
is 5-8 days. I do not guarantee this
puppy from Parvo after 10 days. This means it contracted the disease after
the puppy was in your care. The
remaining immunizations and medicines are the responsibility of the buyer, for
the health of this puppy.
3. Buyer has two (2) business days from time of pick up
of puppy in which to have his/her own veterinarian check the puppy to determine
health. If finding illness or a health
issue with puppy, the puppy may be returned to breeder for an equal replacement
puppy. If the puppies from this litter
have been placed, a puppy from the next available litter will be the
replacement puppy.
4. There is a two-year guarantee on this puppy for
genetic defects. This includes but not
limited to blindness or deafness, heart defects etc. Accidents through neglect of buyer or
oversights are not considered genetic.
The buyer has the responsibility to supply written proof supplied by the
veterinarian through written report, exams and x-rays to show that this puppy
has any of these genetic faults. It is
required and necessary to contact the breeder within 12 hours of any diagnosed
genetic defects of this puppy for this contract to be binding. As a breeder, I do not always know if I am
improving the breed if I do not get feed back from the new families (buyers) of
these puppies. Please let me know of any
concerns or problems that may arise. I
also like to receive good feedback, pictures, and updates.
5. Between 20 and 25 months of age, this puppy should
have elbows and hips x-rayed by a licensed veterinarian in form acceptable to
OFA at buyer’s expense. Said x-ray shall
be submitted to OFA for reading. OFA
does not certify the readings until 24 months of age but prelims can be done.
6. For a companion
puppy with limited registration and spay/neuter contract the guarantee is
that of hips that has nothing less than Borderline Hip Joint conformation as
indicated by the OFA results whither prelims or being certified. If puppy’s hips do not meet this reading then
a replacement puppy of equal value will be offered within one (1) year of
results under the following requirements:
a)
Buyer will at
his/her expense, spay or neuter this puppy, if it hasn’t been done. Seller will not ask for this puppy back. OR
b) In the event that this puppy must be destroyed due to
the severity of hip dysplasia, a written form of veterinarian findings must be
given to breeder.
7. It is the
obligation of the buyer to have this puppy spayed or neutered within 6-12
months (see addendums to this requirement if any) in order to have any of this contract enforced by the buyer. If failure to comply with this agreement, the
buyer has no further rights, options, or claims upon the breeder (seller).
9. This
puppy can not be euthanized without prior notification and consent from the
breeder.
10. It is agreed that under no circumstances will the
breeder (seller) pay for any surgery, in all or part for and not limited to: hip dysplasia, joint surgery, or any other
medical or surgical needs.
11. If buyer places this puppy in another home, all
guarantees are null and void.
12. If breeder can demonstrate buyer’s failure to abide to
this agreement, contract, bill of sale, the breeder shall have the legal right
to repossess the puppy and get a signed AKC transfer application from the buyer
without refunding any money. The buyer
will then be liable for any expenses incurred in this process, including legal
fees, and veterinarian expenses to restore this puppy to good health if
necessary.
13. It would be in the best interest of this dog for
the buyer to inform the breeder of their current address and phone number for
the life of this dog.

The deposit is
non-refundable unless the breeder can not meet the proper gender or color of
the buyer’s written statement. The
deposit does go towards the price of the puppy. A check can be used as
payment for the puppy deposit but cash or postal money will need to be used for
final payment.
Shipping
is paid by the buyer. If puppy is
returned to the breeder (seller) the buyer will pay for the return of puppy
regardless of mode of transportation.

I,
owner of BAHR-S Kennels and as a breeder of German Shepherds will always do my
best to provide hardy, healthy, and happy puppies. My goal is to promote and better this
wonderful breed. With my goal I will
always try to produce better puppies than the parents. The German shepherd dog has a valiant and
worthy past, and I hope to continue this heritage.
Comments or further
agreement:
1) It is
highly recommended and encouraged
that this puppy, as with all puppies and dogs, should be puppy trained and have
dog obedience classes.

On occasion I will send out surveys to help me know if problems have risen in
my breeding program or to support a study in progress at many of the
universities.
