In honor and remembrance of the ancestors who served with this regiment, lest they be forgotten, this regimental history is dedicated to:

Joel Davis, a first cousin four times removed born on 5 February 1821 in Montgomery Co, GA. He was the son of Stafford Davis and Penelope Lott. On 23 August 1845 when Joel was 24, he married Roxanna Kirkland, daughter of Moses Kirkland & Margaret Carver. She was orn on 5 February 1830 in Telfair Co, GA and died in Coffee Co, GA on 23 August 1889. Served with Capt. Daniel Newbern's Company of Cavalry (Coffee Revengers) Private Joel Davis enlisted at Douglas, Georgia, for a term of six months, on 27 July 1863. His horse was valued at $275 and horse equipment at $25. Joel died in Coffee Co, GA on 6 June 1885, he was 64. National Archives Microfilm Box, Roll, and Record: 000226, 0016, 00000930
 
Jasper W. Ellis born about 1848. On 21 December 1872 he married (second cousin three times removed) Almira Wilcox born 30 December 1853 daughter of Mark Wilcox and Margaret Lott National Archives Microfilm Box, Roll, and Record: 000226, 0019, 00002346
 
John J. Hill born about 1825. On 18 February 1847 he married (second Cousin four times removed) Rebecca "Becky" Young in Telfair Co, GA. She was born 28 December 1827 and was the daughter of Thomas L. Young and Mary Beatty. National Archives Microfilm Box, Roll, and Record 000226, 0029, 00000764
 
Obadiah Johnson born in 1826. Obediah married (first cousin four times removed) Drucilla HALL, daughter of Instance Hall & Drusilla Sellers. Born in 1836 Obediah died in 1895. National Archives Microfilm Box, Roll, and Record: 000226, 0032, 00002895

Daniel Lott a first cousin four times removed was born on 23 December 1840. He was the son of Mark Lott Jr. and Armintha Ward. National Archives Microfilm Box, Roll, and Record: 000226, 0037, 00002203
 
Elisha Era Lott, a Great-Great-Great Uncle was born on 17 May 1822 in Telfair Co, GA. He was the son of Daniel Lott Sr. and Lucinda Peterson. In 1842 when Elisha Era was 19, he married second cousin five times removed Mary "Polly" Moore, daughter of John Moore Jr & Martha Elizabeth Jones, in Telfair Co, GA. She was born on 13 March 1825 in Lowndes Co, GA, and died in Coffee Co, GA on 3 April 1906. Elisha served Coffee County as a legislator 1861-65 and also in Newbern's Coffee Revengers. Merritt Meeks a second cousin three times removed was born on 13 January 1847 in Telfair Co, GA. He was the son of Charles Hymrick Meeks and Martha Davis. Merritt married Emily Tanner, daughter of Green Tanner & Elmina Hall who was born about 1850. John Moore III a second cousin five times removed was born in 1821 in Emanuel Co, GA, the son of John Moore Jr. and Martha Elizabeth Jones. About 1842 when John was 21, he married (first cousin four times removed) Barbara Roberts, daughter of Gray Stock Roberts Sr. & Sarah "Sallie" Lott, in Lowndes Co, GA. Barbara was born on 30 October 1824 in Montgomery Co, GA and died in Clinch Co, GA on 10 March 1902. John died in Clinch Co, GA on 17 December 1886, he was 65. Henry E. Paulk, a Great-Great-Great Uncle was born on 14 February 1818 in Dublin, Laurens Co, GA. He was the son of Micajah Paulk Jr. and Mary Catherine Young. On 21 December 1848 when Henry E. was 30, he first married (first cousin four times removed) Delilah Peterson, daughter of John Peterson III & Elizabeth "Betsy" Lott, in Irwin Co, GA. She was born in 1826 in Ware Co, GA. Delilah died in Coffee Co, GA in 1855. Henry died in Coffee Co, GA on 7 May 1875, he was 57. Henry "Hal" Peterson a first cousin four times removed was born in 1823 in Telfair Co, GA the son of John Peterson III and Elizabeth "Betsy" Lott. On 21 February 1840 when Henry "Hal" was 17, he first married Martha "Patsy" Gaskins, daughter of David Gaskins & Martha Heard, in Telfair Co, GA. Martha was born in 1824 in Telfair Co, GA. and died in Coffee Co, GA in 1854. Henry died in Coffee Co, GA on 11 November 1878, he was 55. Henry S. Roberts a first cousin four times removed was born in 1817 in Montgomery Co, GA. the son of Gray Stock Roberts Sr. and Sarah "Sallie" Lott. On 13 July 1845 when Henry was 28, he married Sarah Candler. Sarah died on 21 August 1870 in Coffee Co, GA. Henry died on 6 January 1868, he was 51. James Monroe Wilcox a first cousin four times removed was born on 25 October 1832 in Telfair Co, GA. the son of John Wilcox and Elizabeth Simmons. James first married Mary Whooten Born on 28 February 1835 in Telfair Co, GA. Mary died on 16 June 1878, she was 43. James second married Emma Jane Pickren, daughter of Elijah Pickren & Catherine Girtman. She was born on 24 November 1843 and died in Nichols, Coffee Co, Ga. on 25 November 1928 James Monroe died on 7 May 1897, he was 64. Joel Wilcox a second cousin four times removed was born on 12 June 1840 in Telfair Co, GA, the son of Mark Wilcox and Margaret Lott. Joel died in Coffee Co, GA on 8 November 1864, he was 24. It is reported that he died at home from wounds suffered in service to the CSA, National Archives Microfilm Box, Roll, and Record: 000226, 0065, 00000161

The Coffee Revengers were a Georgia Local Defense Troop. It is often referred to as Newburn's or Newbern's Company, It was authorized for six months of service18 July 1863. The officers were listed as Daniel Newburn (Newbern), Captain,

The troop was stationed at Douglas in Coffee County, Georgia 27 July1863. The boundary of the Coffee Revengers is as follows: Beginning at the mouth of the Altamaha River and up that river and the Ocmulgee to Hawkinsville, thence to Florence on the Chatahoochee River, thence to the line of Florida, thence to the coast and back again to the Altamaha River.
